 Граничный слой (поверхностный слой, пограничный слой, кристаллизационный дворик)
  Неоднородный тонкий слой определенной толщины и объема, который располагается по обе стороны поверхности, разделяющей две соприкасающиеся объемные фазы. В более узком значении - слой расплава, из которого кристалл «вычерпывает» элементы для своего роста. Ширина граничного слоя зависит от скорости диффузии (то есть от вязкости расплава) и от скорости кристаллизации (то есть от минерала, физико-химических условий, скорости остывания).
