  Бесконечная самоподобная геометрическая фигура, каждый фрагмент которой повторяется при уменьшении масштаба. Фракталами также называют самоподобные множества нецелой размерности. Самоподобное множество — множество, которое можно представить в виде объединения одинаковых непересекающихся подмножеств, подобных исходному множеству.
