National Nanotechnology Initiative
Национальная нанотехнологическая инициатива
Долгосрочная комплексная программа нанотехнологических исследований, принятая в США в 2000 году. В соответствии с этой программой объем бюджетного финансирования уже в 2001 г. составил 420 млн. долларов, в 2004 г. вырос до 900 млн. долларов. В настоящее время уровень годового финансирования превышает 1 млрд. долларов.
Среди участвующих в Инициативе федеральных правительственных организаций США - Национальный научный фонд, Министерство обороны, Национальный институт здравоохранения, НАСА и Национальный институт стандартов и технологий.
