  Cуперпозиция состояний, которые не могут быть реализованы одновременно с классической точки зрения. Эта особенность микроскопических квантовых объектов согласуется с экспериментальными наблюдениями и успешно описывается современной теорией. Например, принадлежащий сразу двум атомам электрон обеспечивает химическую связь между атомами (если бы электрон принадлежал только одному из атомов, то связи бы не было).
