Molecular pH-Controlled «Shuttle»
Молекулярный рН-управляемый «челнок»
рН- (и/или электрохимически) переключаемый процесс возвратно-поступательного перемещения циклической молекулы по линейной молекулярной цепи. Как правило, используются молекулы ротаксана.
Ротаксан, состоящий из длинной полиэфирной цепочки, на которую нанизан цикл, построенный из двух остатков дипиридила («челнок»). К концам цепи пришиты объемные группы-стопперы, препятствующие соскальзыванию «челнока» с цепи. Протонирование трифторуксусной кислотой или электрохимическое окисление бензидинового «челнока» резко уменьшает электронную плотность на нем, заставляя макроцикл полностью переходить к 4,4′-бифенолятному фрагменту. Полная обратимость как рН-, так и электрохимически переключаемого процесса приводит к получению ротаксанового молекулярного переключателя.
